Tip for the old record collectors. If you've got a scratched record just take some wood glue and coat it. Let it dry and then pill it off. This will resurface the record and it will play once again.

Here's another one..... If you need to peal some garlic cloves put a few in a sealable jar and shake vigorously. This will break up the outer skin. Remove and repeat to remove the fine inner skin and you have cleaned pealed garlic cloves.

When you have to replace your car tires, instead of paying to have them recycled tell the person changing them that you want them back.

Take them home and give them s good cleaning. Let dry completely and, using outdoor paint coat them. Add your own flair by putting designs on them or even labeling them. Place on some weed cloth and fill with rich dirt and use the tires for an easy herb garden or veggie patch.

When you buy a bunch of batteries for storm season, place them in the freezer to keep them good longer.

Placing your coffee beans or ground in the freezer keeps that "fresh coffee" smell longer.

If you have a narrow glass or vase that you need to clean simply put some hot water and a dash of soap in it and pour some rice in. Cover and shake and spin that rice around for a vase cleaner without buying a long bottle brush.

If your like me, you burn instead of tan. Before hitting the beach, take a shallow ice cube tray and fill it with some aloe. Freeze it into cold aloe cubes for fast burn relief.
