Kate spun around as noises of rustling leaves cracked the silence in the air behind her. She froze, her eyes darting from tree to tree, bush to bush. There was a low growl, and something bit into her neck, dragging her down. She yelped, and turned into a wolf. A large dog stood in front of her, two more at it's sides. Kate growled, and quickly glanced to see where her dagger had been flung off to, but she couldn't see it. She gazed at the dogs angrily, crimson blood staining her gray coat. One of the smaller dogs jumped at her, but she dodged the blow, jumping on it's back and sinking her fangs quickly into it's neck. She jumped off, growling, the dog's blood now on her mouth. The larger beast howled in fury. It jumped at her. She jumped up to meet it.

They hit in midair, slashing at each other. The dog's claws dug into Kate's shoulder, Kate's claws into it's chest. They both yowled in pain, springing back and circling around one another, growling, blood dripping.
