Kate closed her eyes. She lifted her hand to her bites. Dry blood was splattered all over her neck, but blood still trickled down her back. Kate touched them gently, and pain shot through her neck. She quickly pulled her hand away. Standing up, she went to find the deer that she had killed yesterday. A great amount of meat still remained on the deer, and she ate several small chunks. She walked to the river, and looked down gloomily at her reflection.

"My my aren't we vain?" Shadow asked smirking above her stretched out lazily across a tree,

Shira watched the bull elk and waited for one to be separated. It took awhile but finally one was separated. She darted to the bull elk and landed piercing the elk with her fangs and paws. The elk tries to buck her off, she holds on for dear life, then she finally released and landed on her side. She had a bruise side from the elk. The elk turned around and faced Shira, it rubbed its front, left hoof against the ground, she knew he was going to charge. She watched its movements very carefully, she leaped onto a rock waiting for it to charge. after a couple of seconds It finally charged at her. she leaped in the air as the elk moved under her. She once again pierced her fangs and paws into it, but backwards she was facing opposite of the antlers. The elk halted and tried to buck her off again. She held on once more, and finally flew off when her claws split. The elk immediately rotated coming face to face with Shira. It did not hesitate it charged at her knocking her with his antlers, She flew and landed on the ground, with pierce markings in her stomach. She raised up and leaped into the tree, while the elk tried to stab her again. The elk rushed at the tree and tried to get her down with his antlers. She waited until he turned away then she leaped again and penetrated her claws into him holding on. She took her head and pierced the elk again, making him bleed more. The elk once again almost bucked her off, but he was loosing energy from the lose of blood. Shira kept on repeating gashes in his neck as she held on. It took minutes but the elk collapsed as she leaped off. Part of her fur was dyed crimson, she dragged the immense elk, looking for Sage.

Kate walked, thinking. She walked into Sage, and fell backwards, still weak from the loss of blood. "Sorry," she murmured, standing up and brushing the dirt off her.
