Shasta shifted and trotted up next to him. She sat down and looked at the water, her tail wagging slightly.

Maya opened her eyes after a while. She didn't feel as groggy as she looked up at Mark.

Mark was asleep, he had passed out after staying up so long, but was right beside her, so her waking movements had started to wake him

Joe looked over at Shasta and smiled, stroking her back.

Shasta licked his arm before looked back into the water.
