What else would you call them? Purses make a nice, "whomp," sound when you hit something with them.

How does one make one?

Buy a 100 watt under desk heater, a quilt, and a glass table top. Find or make a simple low table around 14-16" high. Attach the heater to the bottom of the table, put the quilt over it, put the glass top over the quilt on the table. Voila! Kotatsu.
