☆☆☆Fresher Starts. Moving More☆☆☆

Yea. Like I said I'm not worried about me. My mom is older though...I'm not sure which test they did. I know they say the Rapid one isn't very accurate. I've been tested so many times by now...i normally ge r a nasty cold in the winter/fall anyway so I should be fine. Can't be much worse than some of the colds I've had over the years, right?
I'm pretty sure my grandparents got it. Or at least exposed to it. They did alight, but it's going to be different for everyone.
For me it was like a really bad cold. It lasted a while since I got it twice. I had a fever a time or two during it. It sucked but I survived lol. And so did my grandparents (76 and 80).
Hope y'all stay safe

As a reminder I’m totally new to this although my family have been farmers forever. They just didn't bother teaching me anything. It was all taken care of while I was in school, etc. So please go easy on me.
Nobody wants eggs or baby bunnies! Quite frustrating. The market is flooded right now with quail too. :(
How do you all handle the business side of things?
- how do you make money?
- how do you get customers?
- so many other questions I cant even think of.
I dont expect to make a profit by any means, Just want to sell my surplus of eggs and some chicks and bunnies. I have about 7-8 dozen eggs sitting on My counter right now. And thats just the chicken eggs! Could it be due to Covid maybe? Ive had several people be excited about my chickens and say they want eggs but never follow through.
By the way, I am not a salesperson by any stretch of the imagination. :) sadly
There was a huge run on chicks when the whole China flu thing broke. All summer long, folks couldn't keep chicks, buy chicks, etc. Then all of a sudden it was like the market was suddenly satisfied and people were left with lots of babies they couldn't offload.

Regarding your surplus eggs; Look up "water glassing eggs." As the days shorten, you'll get fewer hens laying and may want a reliable preservation method to stock up for that eventuality (water glassing fills that bill). You can also cook (boiling is popular) your surplus eggs and feed them back to your flock. Just crush the boiled eggs, shells and all. Everybody loves to eat eggs, birds included. Otherwise, I just give them away. Around here people figure they should cost the same as the grocery store eggs or less, since they 😂 "don't cost you anything" 🤣🙄. It's not worth the liability to sell them for me.

Also, chickens are good to eat... I'm sure this has not escaped you. If you have chickens coming out your ears, there's always that option.

They looked kind of funny to me, I guess -- I'm used to looking at human anatomy, where things seem to be a bit more spread out.
I'd love to familiarize myself with the guts of a bird by butchering a rooster from Craigslist... and then eating it, of course!
Can you circle what you are talking about?

I think the picture you were talking about was a heart and lungs.

I only have the 6 girls and Im not allowed to process. I live in the city. Im not worried about having too many chickens.
Quails though, thats another matter. Im a recent, and instant, hatchaholic, but cant hatch anymore until i sell what i have now. :hit I want more chicks:hit
