You know which way the prevailing wind normally comes from. Never put the bonfire upwind of the house.

It isn't blowing very hard, or very often. What few embers that there are die out very quickly, too, and it's a good distance from the house.

Both batches of marshmallows are setting: The vanilla with just a hint of orange, and the honey-orange-chocolate-chunk.
