I can not for the life of me understand how one could charge a stranger money to teach them how to do something so damn simple.

If it makes you feel better, I didn't charge for today's lesson with the newbie. I would have liked to have had someone walk me through it, so I paid it forward. She insisted on giving me stuff, though. I got some nice plants, soaps and lotion.Offed.
It is crazy. A 10 minute youtube vid could explain as much as her $75 three hour session.I can not for the life of me understand how one could charge a stranger money to teach them how to do something so damn simple.
Yes and no. To show someone something this easy...yes...there is no way in tbe world I could charge someone a dollar for learning how to butcher a quail. I think thatvus beyond ridiculous for someone to charge for that. You work for free?
For some people it's not. Having someone sit with you and talk to you about the process and calm you down for it is a good thing. If I had a lot of people asking me to do it, I would probably charge too.I can not for the life of me understand how one could charge a stranger money to teach them how to do something so damn simple.

I would have offed you had you charged her 80 bucks. If it makes you feel better, I didn't charge for today's lesson with the newbie. I would have liked to have had someone walk me through it, so I paid it forward. She insisted on giving me stuff, though. I got some nice plants, soaps and lotion.
Charging a simple amount would be ok. .in my mind but charging a ridiculous amount...is absurd to me.Tearing apart an engine is simple to me. What’s wrong with charging for your time?
BUT..... someone is hiring her to show them vs showing the initiative to learn it themselves. It is crazy. A 10 minute youtube vid could explain as much as her $75 three hour session.
If I had charged, it would have been something like $20, not $75. I looked at it as helping a neighbour. (Even though she wasn't exactly a neighbour. Next town over)I would have offered you had you charged her 80 bucks.
