My poetry isn't good, and it doesn't really have a style either

A silhouette
A whisper
A memory
A fall breeze
A spring sunset, beauty
Horse and rider, all
Free​

Tell me why the winter keeps
It’s bitter white, and brumal sweep
The sudden flaunt of frozen fright
haunts me with its blinding flight.
Knocking me a startled heap
Again I fall, again I sleep.
With winters hostile pillow deep
again I fall, again I sleep.

Hi! I think a poetry thread is a great idea, so I'm going to give it a try (the formatting keeps getting messed up though):
Calmness is forest green
It looks like a green canopy stretching endlessly
overhead and the bright colors of wildflowers
It sounds like the quiet chirping of songbirds and
the lively chatter of the squirrels
It smells like the earth after a rain and the fresh
scent of evergreen needles
It tastes like wild blueberries and forest air
heavy with the fragrance of leaves
It feels like the crunch of twigs scattered across
the path and the gentle cool breeze dancing
through the branches
Calmness is a stroll in the sunlight-dappled
woods, watching the light throw patterns on
the cool earth.

(so stupid I know)

my kitties fur, soft n brown,
in multi-colored hues,
soft shades a blendin,
like cinnamon sugar, spread
over warm brown toast,
with melted butter.
