he led her down the stairwell, the dim light flickering, giving his face an unearthly quality. The floor was ancient, smoth stone, the walls lined with rots and cobwebs. It opened into a twisting tunnel formed in the same fashion. After about fifteen mi utes of walking, it led into a massive, pitch black cavern. Although you could see nothing, the ice cold breeze and massive, empty feeling ave it a terrifying darkness, and a sense of hidden things watching from the shadows.

It revealed that the entire cavern, as far as the eye could see, was filled with water. massive, glowing shapes moving far below in the biolumenscient depths. You could see things that looked like prehistoric beings, terrifying but beautiful. Every kind of fish, large and small, plain and beautiful, swam in the fathomless, clear water. Plants grew from the depths, glowing the shades of the rainbow, the fish technicolor images of stunning variety. Jellyfish, eels, sharks, wales, and the strange things of the deep swam.
