Quote: Ebony trotted up to him, tossing her mane and letting the wind catch it and toss it this way and that. She wuffled her lips across his neck and made a soft rumbling sound.
Vasch moved forward a bit and rested his head on her back, gently rubbing his neck against hers. He scratched her withers with his teeth. "I worry so much about you," he whispered. "Everyday, I worry that I'll loose you. I couldn't handle that."
Ebony's ears tipped forward. She was surprised to hear that. "Really?" she smiled, and brushed her pink tongue over a scratch on his lower back.
"Of course," he mumbled, nuzzling her a bit. "It's why I seem so... so over-protective, or annoyed at times. I'm sorry."
Ebony frisked her tail affectionately over his shoulders. "Thanks Vasch.. that's sweet." she nickered.
He nickered, to show his tenderness for her, and then pinched his eyes shut. There was a bit of a pause before he finally spoke again. "If you ever feel off put by me, just let me know. I'm... I'm trying to work on it as best as I can."
Ebony smiled. She turned and rubbed her soft, tender nose on his cheek. "I will Vasch, but I never feel put off by you." she smiled, then lowered her head to clip at the lush green grass at her hooves.
Vasch smiled back, his expression softening a bit. He continued to rest his head on her back, shutting his eyes in delight.
Ebony smiled, lifting her head and chewed the blades of grass. Her eyes swept the vast hills and fields, rolling ahead.
He repositioned his head after yawning a bit, shuffling slightly on his feet to press his body closer to hers. He was thankful to get some peace for once.
Ebony touched her muzzle to his shoulder, then relaxed her neck and dozed.
A while later, when the sun was fading behind the far off hills, Ebony pranced around, holding her head and tail up happily.
