Starry Night turned her head upon hearing Devon. "You expect me to clear the fence with this belly? I got out of my paddock because the latch was loose."

"Good idea. If I'm not here, they can't catch me and put me back in there," Starry Night said. She turned and resumed walking. Before she had taken many steps, the tantalizing smell of sweet feed got her attention, and the Frisian veered toward the feed room.
