But he also kills and tortures them and works them to death for the fun of it. The only thing the squirrel did was sit down for a moment. He would of killed her anyway, but he decided to do it sooner when she called him by his name instead of sir or your majesty.

"And what is that, sweet?" He asked.
"I think we may need to boost the economy a little." Amica told him. "Fewer slaves, and more citizens. And this isn't to be kind to them, but if we have more slaves than we do citizens the slaves will begin to greatly outnumber us all, and given the fact that they aren't fond of us, could rebel. And if we don't have many citizens, less people are working jobs and trading which will run us out of money."
"Not a request, but simply a suggestion." She added calmly.

(Yes, I know, but given the time period (I assume this isn't modern times) that's not that rare. Slaves had to work and work, and the kings were very harsh. And calling them by their names was seen as extremely disrespectful and rude during that time.
So, while today it's not seen as normal and to us is barbaric, nobody is taught otherwise in that time period. It's like how we're taught to think for ourselves, don't own slaves, and question authority, that would have been insane for the people back then.
Though, maybe I'm just a dark, dark person.

And that was also WAY longer than I meant it to be, LOL!)

"You are smart. I thought the guards might do as Citizens for a while. I have so many of them I can't even keep up with their names." Falag said. "I took over this island not to have a merry little town. My goal is far, yes FAR greater than that. Besides, I can level the population of the slaves easily."

Amica nodded in understanding. "Okay, Father. I have been rather worried about the economy lately, but it seems that you do have it figured out."

"Thank you, Amica. I'm glad that I'm not the only one with brains in the family." He said smiling. "Would you like to know what my goal is? Just between you and me? I know I can trust you."

"Yes, I would like to know your goal. I promise I will not tell anybody else." Amica said honestly, very curious about exactly what his goal was.
