"Ready to go?" Micah asked

"Yes!"
She smiled and nodded

Crystal held up the feather in answer.

"What that?"Adam asked looking at the feather

"A few years ago," Crystal said, looking up into the tree, "I lived in this tree. I had a mate, and a nest, and a daughter. My mate was killed by a hawk not long after Jasmine hatched. Then, when she was a fledgling, a snake crawled into the nest while I was away finding food. Now the only thing I have left of her is her feather."

"Can I go chase that squirrel?"
She pointed to a squirrel

"No, humans don't chase squirrels."
