Off in the distance the dogs were following the scent although it was getting lost through the snow the humans had them keep going.

"It's not over yet." Spice said tiredly. "By the way those hunters were coming at us so aggressively they aren't going to give up so easily. We need to figure out a safe place to keep the herd until they've left."

"You can tell me." Soldier stood intently waiting.

"OK." Moon pushed aside her leg. And stood up.

Beauty looked down and said," Well, The last time the men came into this area I was just a foal. We went up into these same mountains hoping that they would leave soon. When we were in the mountains they found us and killed and took most our herd and who escaped they seriously injured. That's also when they took Strider." She said as a tear rolled down her face.

Fire started up the mountain to a narrow path. He went to climb up some boulders and slipped on one of them. "Careful on this one. It's slippery." he said.
