Blaze cleared his throat, prepared for the answer to his question. "D-do you have a stallion already?" he asked quickly, blurting the words out.

"N-no" she said

Blaze looked at her, surprised by her answer. "Would you be my mate?" he blurted out, and looked at her with shining eyes.

Blaze whinnied happily, and started to groom her.

Blaze lifted his ears. Something was barking in the distance. Dogs he thought, hatred filling his eyes. Three, I suppose. And big ones at that. Blaze turned to Honey. "Run," he commanded.

Honey looked at him for a moment then galloped off quickly Hero on her heels

Blaze snorted, and lowered his head as he saw three shapes sprinting towards him. He pawed at the ground with one of his hooves.
