Dimmet heard the crow leader speak from the room on the other side of the door, and looked up sharply through the barred window in it, eyes wide with desperation. He looked back down and finally got the right key in the door just as Cobalt and the guards reached the bottom of the long staircase. The lock clicked, Dimmet threw his weight against the door, it flew open and he leaped through it. He knew that if he was caught, he would be stuck back in a cell for life, so he was ready and willing to do whatever it took to get away, even kill.
