Thank you!the same thing happen to me 4 weeks ago my 2 week old chick stopped running around and wasn't eating/drinking and when i went to go make some mash for her, she was dead
i think you should get this https://www.amazon.com/Pack-Electrolyte-Vitamin-Supplement-Poultry/dp/B01K27VJ8C?tag=backy-20 someone said it saved their chicks life so i hope this helps![]()
Will do! The food we give them is starter feed, the big chunks of corn I was picking out from another food tray but I am not feeding them those huge pieces.Try supplemented water and some crushed insects or something soft for it to eat in case the texture or chew ability is the problem
Yes! We a bag of some chick grit, we are not feeding them those big chunks of corn that's is from another tray of food that I was preparing for my adult chickens.Does the chick have access to chick grit? With all that corn I would be worried about an impacted crop if there isn't any access to grit.
Will do! Those big chunks of corn isn't their food it belongs to the older chickens I have.Try supplemented water and some crushed insects or something soft for it to eat in case the texture or chew ability is the problem
They do have a heat lamp! They also have water and chicken feed but those big corn chunks belong to the older chickens, so don't worry they aren't earings that.at this age they need to be with a heap lamp and only have access to chick starter and water nothing else until they are at least 6 weeks old and when you give them something other than chicken food they need to have grit
I'm sorry about thatthat might've been why my chick died because my chick showed the same signs as these ones
'Im not sure if I responded to this since I'm not used to this website but they are being feed starter feed the corn that was laying around belong to the older chickens I have, the little ones aren't eating thatWhat are you feed it?
That stuff laying on the ground around the chick is a problem.
If it's laying around they are eating it.'Im not sure if I responded to this since I'm not used to this website but they are being feed starter feed the corn that was laying around belong to the older chickens I have, the little ones aren't eating that
The legs of the chicks are fine but I will look for newspaper, magazines or old school papers I have, thank you!Also..I notice your chick is on cardboard.
Cardboard is too slippery for chicks. You are going to end up with leg problems if you are very careful.
Can you cover that floor with paper towels and can you please get the correct feed for the others before they end up dying like this one appears to be.
