So, my niece came over to my house and we made some paper elk! I didnt take pics of each step, but when i get back on my computer i will type them out so you can make an elk too! Here are some pics:
You will need:
1 brown paper bag
2 pieces of newspaper
2 google eyes or small shiny circle, don't know what they are called.
4 popsicle sticks (per elk)
2-3 white paper lollipop sticks
brown fat marker
black sharpie
white or light brown paper. ( lighter that brown bag)
tape (clear)
glue (liquid preferred)
scissors
STEPS
1. Crumble up 2 pieces of newspaper into an elk/moose shape
2.tape it together when you get it right, the perfect shape (make sure you make the snout/nose thing long enough)
3. cover with brown paper bag
4. cut holes where you want the legs, stick legs (popsicle sticks, or toothpics if young elk) in
5. cover popsicle sticks (or toothpics) with leftover paper bag
6. (if Male) Make spot for antlers
7. (if Male) cut up lollipop sticks and make the little parts poking off main antler (does that make sense?)
8. Color head brown with fat marker
9. Color hooves black
10. take white paper and make a heart shape, color light light brown with colored pencil and glue on elk's butt. (if you want it to be a moose don't do this step)
11. cut a tail shape (same color as the white bottom from last step) and glue or tape onto elk.
12.glue on eyes
13 cut ear shape, color dark brown and put on elk
14. Enjoy! Put it on a shelf or make a habitat for your elk!
