❗URGENT❗Pit Mix URGENTLY Needs New Home Near Wayne County, Indiana!!

Hello, I am not living in Indiana, but my family is. My sister has a dog who is in someone else's care. The person caring for him does not want him there anymore and my sister wants him to go to a good home. Located close Richmond, Indiana and College Corner, Ohio.

He is free to a good home. PM me if you are interested in taking Hunter and I will put you in contact with my sister.

The dog's name is Hunter, around 4 years old. He is a pit mix. He has been on a chain most of his life.

Hunter would need training to be better behaved. He is a good dog when he is familiar with you. He has only been around people he knows and he is kept next to another dog so he has known other dogs.

UPDATE:

A couple hours after posting this, my sister messaged me telling me that the person whose house Hunter is staying at says that he needs to be out of the house by NEXT WEEK. No further explanation as to what will happen after that deadline.

He urgently needs somewhere to go. I have contacted the closest shelter to him with no response.

He is located near RICHMOND, INDIANA and COLLEGE CORNER, OHIO!!

UPDATE:

I just got off the phone with the only shelter around. I told them more about Hunter.

The lady who I talked to said that their shelter does not take family surrendered dogs, they only take dogs that they find abandoned. She said she would talk to the dog warden though. The warden said no.

She also told me that no one in the area has been interested in adopting adult dogs so he may have to be humanely euthanized.

This is all very sad and we hope to find Hunter a new home.

I am still going to keep trying, contacting other shelters in neighboring towns. He deserves to be in a good home, as does every dog.

I'm in Arizona and adopted a 3 year old female American Saffy Terrier mix from the county animal shelter, as we had to recently put our old 13 year down. The shelters are full. Many are being put down to make room for more. At least we were able to save the life of this one.

Aww poor Hunter I wish I was there to take him! That is a good looking dog someone is going to be extremely lucky to get such a beautiful and healthy looking boy.
