:lau :gig :lau I’m an adventurer! 😂🤣🙈
I am, too, I think. I keep making up recipes in the kitchen! That cake that I made on Friday was a made-up recipe, too.
As for failures... I made up a cookie recipe when I was little, and it had way too many eggs in it. It tasted terrible.
More recently, I tried to make a lemon icing with lemon extract. It did not come out right. I think that I put in too much extract. whatever it was, it tasted like... like how pine-scented floor cleaner smells. Nasty and sickeningly sweet.
Then there was the time when I was about seven and decided to make my parents breakfast in bed. The breakfast? Well, my child brain thought that cheerios doused in ranch dressing would be good....

A sundae can be whatever you want it to be. I think traditionally it started out as the proverbial banana split. Now, often times it is smaller in size with a scoop or 2 of ice cream, normally vanilla, and topped with some kind of sauce (Chocolate, caramel, some kind of fruit sauce). Sometimes with a dollop of whipped cream and a cherry on top. Sometimes has chopped nuts sprinkled around it. I always thought that there wasn’t a wrong way to make a sundae. Until tonight lol.
The story I heard about the origin of the ice cream sundae was that in some places it was once against the law to sell ice cream sodas (floats I guess) on Sunday. Probably because fermented soda pop contains a small amount of alcohol--now-a-days mechanically carbonated pop contains none. That's why they're called "soft drinks."

Anyway, instead of ice cream soda, the fountains started selling ice cream in pretty dishes with various toppings. That is (allegedly) how sundaes came to be. Is it true? 🤷‍♀️ Who knows? Anyway you can believe it if you like. Won't hurt nuffin. 😂

I respectfully disagree and support your decision. Define the problem and the desired solutions.

CX are efficient in feed and time to processing. There is a place for this solution. Husbandry can be adjusted to minimize the yuck.

I'm raising heritage broilers. Due to who-knows-what (my husbandry, the feed &/or weather), the broilers are below the advertised target weight at this time. Not complaining, I did something different to miss the target. Not the first time. Won't be the last.

It appears that I don't have broilers, just a yard full of healthy, happy, grass eating, running around and delicious chickens. No complaints as my goals were to see what would happen. Now I know.
Like stated, time is not an issue nor is feed conversion as I free range. CX are lousy free rangers. Since they have been processed, I feed 3 gallon pitchers full of feed once a day for 50+ chickens and 11 ducks. They usually leave 1/3 of it, unless it’s hot out, then they just lay under the coop and eat feed. I only fed the CX for 15 mins 2x a day, I was feeding double that for only 9 more chickens. I scoop the poop from the coop daily, husbandry isn’t an issue, quantity was. I’m looking for lean, forage-fed chickens and CX are not the ticket. Odd thing about it is the fridge they were resting in took a dump on us, so I’ll be optimistic and say it was a sign. They won’t be wasted though, they temped out at 50, so I’ll make animal food tomorrow.

Hi, Cindy! That's some interesting information....
How was your Sunday, by the way?
Not much happened here... broody mama Marshmallow has started growling at me when I poke my head into the coop, though, so that's something.
Oh, and I stepped on a frog, thought that it was dead, brought it inside to dissect, and discovered that it was, in fact, very much alive. He's back out in the pond, now, the cute little guy.

It's definitely an interesting question, but if I recall correctly there wasn't much difference. Chicken is chicken. Rapid proliferation of cellular growth does not seem to fundamentally alter the structure thereof.
But what they eat does, forage fed over grain fed is always better IMO. CX are terrible foragers. Not the bird I’m looking to consume.
