I am, too, I think. I keep making up recipes in the kitchen! That cake that I made on Friday was a made-up recipe, too.
As for failures... I made up a cookie recipe when I was little, and it had way too many eggs in it. It tasted terrible.
More recently, I tried to make a lemon icing with lemon extract. It did not come out right. I think that I put in too much extract. whatever it was, it tasted like... like how pine-scented floor cleaner smells. Nasty and sickeningly sweet.
Then there was the time when I was about seven and decided to make my parents breakfast in bed. The breakfast? Well, my child brain thought that cheerios doused in ranch dressing would be good....
