If snow sucks, you’re Ill prepared to deal with it.

I miss my four seasons. Southern Oregon has wet and muddy..... and hot as hades. 3-4 months of no rain, 8-9 months making up for it.
We have sunny and hot or sunny and cold. Plus the occasional gray or windy day for spice.

I live on clay soil near a river though so if we do get any precipitation in the cold season, my yard looks like Mare’s gif:sick
 
If one lives on a sand dune, one never has mud.
It has its pros and cons.

I’m a sandy clay. All the sticky mess of clay, but fairly well drained. Makes awesome garden dirt with addition of decent compost, but narrow moisture window to work it.

Grapes LOVE it. Deep rooted grasses love it too. End of august the bottom of a fence post hole requires a rock to smack shovel on to get dirt off of it.
