We have areas where it is like digging in concrete in the dry season.It has its pros and cons.
I’m a sandy clay. All the sticky mess of clay, but fairly well drained. Makes awesome garden dirt with addition of decent compost, but narrow moisture window to work it.
Grapes LOVE it. Deep rooted grasses love it too. End of august the bottom of a fence post hole requires a rock to smack shovel on to get dirt off of it.
