⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

Not as naturally and reliably as rabbits, though supposedly they can be trained to urinate in the same place. I don't bother. Have I showed you my setup?
I enjoy guinea pigs for their trainability and curiosity. Rabbits I like for their less reactive temperaments.
I wanna see your setup!

Holy hamster balls batman, how hard could it be? ✂️
They’re a lot tinier and harder to operate on than a dog and they don’t tend to handle anesthesia well. Plus there are not a lot of vets that specialize in or even see exotics so they can charge more because I think they have to go to extra school.

It's dead simple and very compact. It's a kiddie pool with a hidey hutch in the middle. The rabbit jumps in and can use it as a litterbox, but roam freely in the room. The guinea pig can't get over the edges.

Brilliant! What kind of litter do you use (just curious)?

Pine shavings, from the bags I get for the chickens.
Nice! We always used shaving for our piggies too. My brother’s kids use a washable fleece liner though. Apparently they saw it on Pinterest first?

Tried using pine shavings for Niven, but they always ended up getting all over the floor and stuck to my socks. Now I use paper in her crate and pine pellet for her litter boxes.

I am far too lazy to wash liners, lol. I did use fabric at one point. It was a lot of work.
