I would use a wire play pen and section off an area until he's litter trained, then give him some more space and let him free roam the bunny room.

A large trashcan to store the hay in could be good too, that crap makes a mess.

I like these, they're off the ground so they don't get as dirty

Tall laundry hampers with lids work well for hay storage with a trash bag.
