⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

I’ve never made pancakes with yeast in them.

I did have a sourdough starter here from Ron that I killed & reanimated many times before it finally turned black & had to go. (I think the container is still sitting in the garden because I’m afraid it will explode back mold on me if I open it.)
My understanding is that black can be rescued. It is pink that is the kiss of death.

I made my own starter. It made good bread. I didn't make bread often enough to keep it active and eventually sent it on its way to the septic tank.

There wasn't a choice when I was growing up. It was required for all of the girls.
Me too. I’m not kidding, my Home Ec teacher had a nervous breakdown halfway thru the semester & never came back. I think it was my sewing skills that pushed her over the edge.

You guys are homeschooled, right? This is the perfect time to give yourselves some Home Ec lessons. Start with eggs, sandwiches & pancakes. Browse the Allrecipes.com website.

Come on, you guys got this!:ya

Do some laundry while you’re at it. Set your Kiki to give you an alert once a week to wash your bedding. Be sure to tell your mom you get school credits for this stuff.
Thanks for the advice! I check that out website.
I can do all the laundry, I unload the dishes, clean my own plate, and I can cook scrambled eggs, and make a sandwich. I Just don't like anything that has to do with the oven or stove 🤣

All the research I do on goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and bees count as school credit. I've made power points and word documents on animal care (and some other things).

I like sewing and crafting though. I've knitted scarves on a spool, made dog bows, lots of cards, decorations, and I'm working in making dresses.

None of the rest of it matters if you can't take care of yourself. Caring for yourself means more than scrambling eggs and making sandwiches. Balanced meals are essential.

I know, I've been trying to improve my cooking skills. I can make things other than sandwiches and eggs, I'm just not very good at it.

Practice and an appreciation of good food will help.
