⭐ Kiki's Year Long 🌶️

I'm okay with my 12 acres but it is a far cry from the 240 acres that I used to have.
We went from one acre in the city to 435 over the first 10 years after moving here 24 years ago.

One of mine likes to take long breaks, sometimes up to like 7 months 😂🤣😭 and one of my other ones, before I lost her last spring, was still laying every day and in winter and they’re the same age (5) so I guess it depends. 😂🤣 those are my EE. The youngest hen is only 2 and still laying pretty well. I think my senior Orpington and Australorp have stopped laying for good finally but I’m not entirely sure. Guess we’ll see when it gets to be spring 😂
my Wyandotte lay on average 5 eggs a week even in winter For the first two years, then taper down to 3 a week by age 5.

Oh wow that’s amazing! :ep

And I’m not sure how much lay now but I know they all laid surprisingly well even 3-4 years in, basically daily for most of them or close. They only really started slowing down this last year or so.

The sweet vet tech said she killed herself laughing at him the whole time she was cutting his nails.

She said he would scream before she was even touching him.
