Sorry to hear this kdawgie.Thank you Bones! It’s okay though but I do appreciate it! It definitely was not easy. The ones I put down were some of my favorite birds and I was hoping to be able to keep them permanently. I never thought I would have to put them down. But then my mom ended up in the hospital and is going to be there a while yet.
So I am trying to do the right thing and downsize to one coop to make things easier on everybody and on myself. Otherwise I never would have put them down. And the ones I chose were a hen that was old, possibly sick, relentlessly picked on, and starting to suffer and two boys that crowed constantly and didn’t get along.
It sucks cause I was very attached to all of them. But it had to be done. We have Mareks on the property so I couldn’t rehome them otherwise I would have done that. Instead I had to kill my favorite birds.
