I trashed my vent covers on hatch one.Yes, I’m staggering too. My problem was DIS in the hatcher after lockdown. Because of the remodel, I’m using two styrofoam incubators for incubation and one for hatching. The cabinet incubator is still at the farm. Was getting only one or two chicks per hatch. Actually lost all in hatch. Either not enough air or temp spikes or too high a humidity. I removed the remaining vent covers and changed to hygrometer/temperature gauges.
I leave the holes open 24/7.
I am convinced people hatch with too much humidity throughout.
Do you have a separate humidity gauge you can salt test?
