Woke up this morning to the entire kitchen floor covered in trash. Bad dogs...

Oh! What did they cook? Something for Father's Day?

There are sunflowers coming up in my new yard. On the one hand, I like the idea of them, lots of nutrition there. On the other hand, they creep me out!

I'm going to let them grow and see if I can get over the shivers when I look at them.

We have fields of sunflowers in vacant lots. I'll stop and cut a few for the vase. I should do that soon. Summer is here.

DD1 gets creeped out with dolls staring at her in her room. Has to turn them all to face the wall to sleep. So much for little girls liking dolls.

She'll be turning 26 soon and hasn't gotten over it. There's hope.

Cockroaches are the one bug that I can't stand. One of my most vivid memories of Hawaii is taking a shower, stepping back and hearing/feeling the *crunch* of one under my foot. I think my scream carried all the way to CA.

When I was on vacation in Hawaii years ago, my mother and I were in the kitchen while my father was taking a shower. Suddenly, we heard a loud shriek from the bathroom, so my mother and I ran to see what was wrong, and my father said a huge cockroach came out of the drain and hissed at him.
