Yeah, in most cases of irresponsible pet owners the pets usually get taken away or put down, the owners receive fines and have to pay for damages/injuries that their pets had caused and the owners right to own other pets is revoked.
Their right to pets wasn't revoked. They have a third, older dog that wasn't taken away. That one doesn't leave their property because she doesn't want to.
