Depends on which variety you plant. In my opinion there is no better short, cool season bell pepper than King Arthur. They don't do as well in the heat of the summer.

My soil is sand which I add compost to. I fertilize with azomite and 10-10-10 fertilizer. I water for 2 hours every other day because there is very little rain and sand drains extremely well.
