Surprise connections are always fun, IMO)
(Because I would be making my characters too special. And that's not politically correct anymore.)

"No." Artemis spoke with determination, as she stared deeply into his eyes with defiance.
(I saw this, but I was watching my sister fail to play the ukulele.)

"Alright then. Your choice, your problem." Mythe said with a sigh and gently gave Artemis the shot, only being gentle so the needle tip didn't break.
"It takes a few minutes to really take affect." He told her. "So until then, maybe you'd like to know about the next shot? It's definitely not as pleasant as the one you just got."

( priorities)

Jaxson looked from Mythe to Artemis, curious as to what the shot was and would do. Mythe had said it wouldn't be a painful one and so far, she didn't look to be in pain. That was good.

"Yeah, I'd like to know what it is." Artemis stated, voice shaky with genuine interest. She watched Mythe closely while paying intention to the effects of the shot that had just been given to her. So far she noticed no changes, but she needed to figure out what the effects were herself if she was to fight them and avoid making some tragic, undetermined mistake.
(You're so mean :p)

Mythe picked up a needle full of a clear gel and presented it to Artemis.
"This is a mix of various chemicals. All of which are not deadly to the human body but can be quite painful. I won't go into detail about what's in it but instead tell you what it does. This substance is rather thick, so instead of spreading throughout your body it stays in one area, the area it was injected into. And in that one single spot, unless you dare to mess with it and spread the drug, it will burn. And eventually what will be injected into you will cause your skin to technically disintegrate. Only one spot of it, though, so like I said, it is not deadly. Unless I want it to be." He explained to her with a sinister look in his eyes.
"I have tested this substance hundreds of times. So it should not kill you, but I can promise that if you have Trypophobia you won't want to mess with this. The holes won't appear immediately, but when they're not appearing you'll feel like I just poured lava on you."

(What's trypohobia?)
"Oh." Artemis whispered, fear evident in both her voice and her wide eyes. "And, where will you inject it?" She asked, despite not wanting to acknowledge the answer.

(That's a phobia of holes, mainly. People who really don't like things like pores or really any kind of small hole in an animal or human body probably have trypophobia.)

"In your arms, hands, and feet mainly. I'll avoid more dangerous parts of your body like your stomach or neck, but it still won't be fun." Mythe said. "Anyway, enough stalling, do you want to tell me anything yet?"
