Jaxson closed the door then hurried Artemis down the hallway, stopping at the elevator. The doors couldn't open fast enough as he waited, impatient to enter a few moments of ease without cameras watching.

Artemis looked around several times to see if they were alone. Once entering the elevator, and having the doors close, she asked: "How long do you think it will be before they find out?" Her voice was no more than a whisper as she continued to be cautious.

Jaxson selected the floor level then looked to her knowingly. "Depends on when Mythe passes the information you gave him to the head," he said quietly. He was unaware of how much truth Artemis told Mythe, but he didn't particularly care. The less he knew, the better.

(Suddenly realized the length of this post.)

Mythe finished writing and left the room, deciding to take this copied down information to Han.

After a few minutes of walking and slightly struggling to remember where Han's office was, he knocked on a large metal door and waited for a reply.
"Who is it?" A gruff voice asked from inside the room.
"It's Thomas Mythe. I have some information from the Contender, I wrote it down." Thomas said, and without giving Han enough time to reply, he opened the door and walked in.

Thomas set the piece of paper down on the table, and Han sighed as he picked it up and examined it.
"Mythe, you're just the man I wanted to see." Han told him sternly and set the piece of paper aside. At Thomas's slightly concerned and annoyed expression, Han added more to this statement.
"Because I've found an interesting article in the newspaper. And no, it's not about another murder you were obviously guilty of."

"Okay then. What is it?" Thomas questioned, not really sure about what else it could be.
Getting the newspaper, Han handed it to Thomas and poked the article he was questioning Thomas about. "You recognize her? I'm assuming you would, since she has your last name."

As Thomas looked to the small picture of a stern and rather gloomy looking woman, he soon recognized her face and became rather wide-eyed.
He looked up from the paper and raised an eyebrow at Han.
"Who is that?" Han asked in a rather disinterested voice.
"That's...My sister."

"That is odd. Because a worker actually remembered you mentioning your dead sister at some point in time, yet here she is, a neurosurgeon who supposedly escaped the hands of the Mira without saying a single word about it."
As Thomas listened to Han's words, he became increasingly angered.
"So? What does it matter? I haven't seen her or heard from her in years, I don't care about her." He tossed the newspaper back onto the table.
"Oh, how convenient. Because I was actually hoping you'd possibly...Find her? Find her, hurt her, bring her here. Of course, find out if she's just a copy of your sister first. And after that you'll have the honors of experimenting on her to try and find out how to mind control these freaks." Han had a menacing glint in his eye, much like Thomas often had, as he finished his request.

Thomas froze. No one would really believe it, but he and his sisters were best friends whenever they were children, and before she got taken away. This was the first person he had ever felt slightly reluctant to hurt, and not only did he not want to stalk his sister, but he didn't want the sickening realization that his sister was in fact dead and yet there was a copy who remembered nothing.
"...No. I'm not doing that." Thomas's expression darkened.

"Alright, that's perfectly fine." Han said calmly with a fake smile. "I'll just have to tell the authorities about all of the people you've killed and tested on, that had nothing to do with the C.M.I program." He paused for a few moments before adding, "There are cameras all over this place, Mythe. Don't pretend like any amount of cleverness can hide killing a person. And thank you, actually, for killing so many people. Because now I have ways to control you."

"You can't control me. I am the heart of your research." Thomas growled. "You'll never find another person as dedicated to science as I am."
"That is not the problem, Mythe. I am fine with losing you, even though the cost will be great. You will do this job for me. I was told your sister was dead, yet here she is, randomly popping up in the newspaper. And you want to pretend like you know nothing?"
"Are you suggesting that I knew my sister was alive?" Thomas asked, beginning to raise his voice.
"Yes, Thomas, I am! How is it possible that you never noticed a brain surgeon with your last name? Have you never looked for signs of any family? Has nobody ever mentioned a girl called Dr. Mythe??" Han shouted angrily. "It seems nearly impossible for this subject to suddenly pop up out of the blue!"

Thomas stared at Han in disbelief at his claims.
"Don't pretend like you know anything about my life." He said in a deadly tone. Not caring to restrain himself, Thomas punched Han, giving him a nosebleed, and turned away.
He looked over his shoulder to say, "I'll start the job sometime this week." before walking out of the office and slamming the door shut.

Long, very long, but good)

Artemis become silent with nothing more to say. She watched the numbers descend, eager to return to her cell.

(Yeh. :caf )

(Gar, could you have Hans find out the information given by Artemis is false, and have her brought her upstairs to be killed? I don't want to make you able to follow through so you can kill her, because Jaxson might help her escape, but you hurt her really bad if you want to :p)

The doors opened and Jaxson nodded to her to get moving. "Vanessa should be along any time now, so let's get you back quickly," he said.

Artemis nodded in agreement as she quickened her place. She was curious why Vanessa was coming to meet with her since she was no longer in a desperate state.

Jaxson lead her along, though there was hardly any need since she knew the path well. "Is your headache gone?" He asked.
