(If they [the aliens and clones] are going to be around anyway, would you not want to first try to attempt peace before just killing whoever objects a bit?

And it's not like the aliens are dropping bombs all over the where, they were just trying to find a new home when the humans turned on them with violence.)
(I do disagree with them basically acting like Hitler and the Nazis, but the aliens' planet was destroyed, meaning that either they have a severe threat which they would then be attracting to earth, a planet we have technically fairly claimed, or they polluted it with their advanced technology and therefore it was uninhabitable. We are also already rather overpopulated and don't need thousands more people to care for, that aren't even citizens of earth.
So, by killing the aliens or scaring them off, we are either protecting ourselves or our planet from becoming polluted, technically. Because I don't see how it could be destroyed any other way.
Also, we have already had a war, and the aliens have been murdering humans along with making complete copies of them, which could possibly be the biggest disgrace you could ever bring upon mankind. So, I think saying that they have done too much damage to make peace now is a slightly reliable conclusion. Because if a kid's mother comes over and kills your dad in front of you, then you wouldn't want to be friends with that mother's kid, when the kid still loves the mother, would you?
So...There's my brain reading too much into things. XD)

(Ha lol I didn't even mean to rhyme)

Trixie thought that that was highly possible. "Probably," she admitted, ducking her head.
(You're a poet and you didn't even know it! XD)

Charlie put his face in his hands and chuckled slightly at this miserable situation.
"Well..." He muttered, putting his hands back down, "We'll just have to hope they'll let us go after an interrogation or something of that sort."

Trixie nodded at him, and slumped against a wall. Waited there, for sleep to come.
It didn't.
There was an achy feeling in her gut, one she couldn't get rid of, no matter how she twisted and turned. And suddenly, she was filled with nervous hysteria. "Oh, God," she whispered.
"Charlie? Are you awake?" Panic clawed at her resolve, bruising and battering her soul. God, she was scared, more afraid than she'd ever been. "Charlie?"

Charlie had dozed off a little bit, but when somebody called his name he quickly woke up and looked around.
"Huh...? Yeah? What is it?" He asked in a tired tone, rubbing the back of his neck. "Is something wrong?"

Charlie's voice filtered through Trixie's system like music. "Charlie...I'm - How are we supposed to do this? We're not going to escape. They probably won't let us go. And if I told you that I hate enclosed spaces, what would you say?" Trixie closed her eyes. "Gosh. I screwed up. You're not even a Contender. You didn't do anything. And then I come along, la, la, la, and ruin your life."

Charlie sighed in thought.
"Well, if it does you any good to know this, I do forgive you if it was indeed your fault. You are acknowledging it, and that's enough for me to forgive you." He told her kindly with a slight smile. "And, we'll figure out how to escape somehow. Once we get there, I'll think of something. Some kind of plan to get us out, or give us freedom. But heck, if we really can't, then we just need to trust in fate."

Trixie didn't believe in fate. But she was grateful for his words anyway. "I think - "
"No talking!" A harsh voice commanded. The door opened, spilling light, impossibly bright light, into the room. Trixie shielded her eyes.
A thin man peered in at them. "No fraternizing among prisoners," he said, contempt spilling out of his mouth. "Maybe I'll have to send Thom in here, to settle things. And you don't wanna know who Thom is," he snarled at them, closing the door and leaving them to their fate.

"Well, if that is a rule, you've done a rather horrid job of enforcing it. Leaving us alone in a dark room seems like a very ineffective way to keep us under control." Charlie looked to the man, making a small amount of eye contact with a small, crooked smile. He then remained silent as the man left.

"Trixie...?" Charlie whispered after a few moments of silence, suddenly having an idea that just might work.
