(How funny!)
Devine took the coffee, along with the money he tucked back into his wallet and then in his back pocket. He sipped carefully on the hot liquid in silence as he watched out the window.

"So, do you have any questions for me?" Aya inquired after a few moments, assuming he probably did, since that seemed like his nature.

Vanessa straightened the collar on her blouse and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, then, taking a deep breath, knocked on the door to Han's office. It seemed best to take this matter straight to the head rather than have to explain herself numerous times to various minor people.
--------
Jaxson, despite Vanessa's instruction, stood from the chair as soon as he was sure she was gone. He took the pills then placed his empty glass in the sink. Vanessa would surely fuss about that later, but he didn't really care. He paced the room to pass the time, occasionally stopping to look at something that caught his interest in the office. He was anxious to hear wether Artemis had escaped safely. Vanessa hadn't said a word about it and his concern was growing.

Han was back in his office, but still had blood splattered on his shirt and wore a fearsome look from the recent shooting of the slackers who let Artemis escape.

He was pacing from side to side behind his desk, and glanced at the door when he heard a knock. Cursing audibly due to being bothered, he ceased pacing and faced the door.
"Who is it?" He asked in a rough tone.

Vanessa noted the tone and decided it best to tread lightly here. "It's Dr. Pole," she said loudly so as to not have to repeat herself.

Artemis eagerly went to greet Amy. "Great, thanks. After I put them in can I please come help you downstairs in your coffeeshop?" She asked, desperate from being locked in a cell for several days to find freedom from the small apartment, and for once, do something besides occupy herself with daydreams.
Amy pulled the box of contacts from her bag and handed it to Artemis. She took her sweet time in disposing of the bag in order to give herself time to formulate a suitable answer. She wasn't eager to have any guest, particular one who was being tracked by the CMI, work in the shop, but it would certainly be a help. Jenny had mentioned this morning on the phone that she had to go out of town for a sick relative, or something.
"I suppose it wouldn't hurt," Amy finally said, "as long as you keep quiet, possibly restricting your work to the back for now?" She suggested.

Devine smiled, glad she had been smart enough to understand his intentions. "Yes, I do." He replied slowly. "You tell me you don't know any C.M.I. agents, is that true?"

Disappointment was clearly evident on Artemis' face, but she agreed. Quietly taking the contacts she went to the bathroom to put them in.

"It's for your own safety," Amy said kindly.
While Artemis was in the bathroom, Amy went back downstairs to relieve Jenny of her shift and tell her she could have the week off.

"I know." Artemis replied softly. She put in the contacts and was glad to see that the color appeared natural. She then went downstairs to meet Amy.

With the morning crowd gone, Amy cleared a few tables that Jenny hadn't gotten around to yet then went to start a new batch of muffins.
