šŸWhat Are You Thankful For This Year?

During this season of thanks and giving, we reflect on what we are thankful for and how we can be a blessing to someone.
What or who stands out as something or someone you are thankful for this year?
I have so many blessings. So very thankful for God's love and forgiveness...my husband who is so supportive...kids...grandkids who are so much fun...still having my dad and enjoying our friendship...a loving church...sweet pets...and of course, BYC!

Love this idea for a thread. Sometimes it's too easy to get caught up in the daily things that annoy you, and it's great to be able to take stock and look at the big picture.

I'm thankful my brother-in-law is alive to see another Thanksgiving with us. Last year, he was diagnosed with stage 4: cancer that had metastasized into his lungs. Everything except the initial tumor is gone, and he will begin targeted radiation for that shortly. Thankful that my mother is still with me and her health is good. I'm grateful that while I was also diagnosed last year with cancer, it is something I will die with and not of. So very thankful for my husband of 25 years, who is my best friend. It's just too many things to list. This will turn into a novel if I keep going.

Today I am thankful for a lovely trip back to New Mexico which was my home for about 30 years, where I have not been for 15 years, and where I raised my kids. Got to visit with my son, his woman and her kid, several dear old friends, and go to church to see several more, what fun! My timing could not have been better, as the cottonwood trees were in brilliant yellow display in all their glory and the sky was breath-takingly sapphire blue! ā¤ļø My flights were all smooth and uneventful. The car I rented, a Nissan Sentra, was an absolute gem. I made contact with an old friend I'd lost contact with, and whom I was afraid wouldn't want to see me, and our relationship is repaired. And finally, I am back home in the loving arms of my family, my dogs are beside themselves to see me, and my chickens are all doing well. For all these gifts from the hand of my loving God and Savior, and so much more, I am deeply and profoundly grateful!
