Hi! I really like the name Pinecone for a chicken--I might have to steal that one! Your flock sounds like it has some adorableness in there--I'm sure we would all love to see pictures if you care to share any!

I have a PineCone, sister to Cinnamon. It's either a very grumpy big leg girl with short reddish wattles or a rooster . They are silver laced red wyandottes. Very pretty birds. I always kind of feel the name fits him or her because its so bristly and short with everybody.

Hi, from So-AZ meadowland, raising chickens about 15 yrs.
I have lost several of my second flock and all of my first =0(....
I now have George & Cracker, sons of my beloved "Mama" lavender old english game bantam hen x Roo-Roo, my Russian Orloff, both now deceased, and two of her daughters (not named, solid black with green shimmer on their feathers), Cinder, an unknown breed who was with Roo-Roo paired in a separate area because he attacked his sons, and Honey, a silver laced golden wyandotte. I'm introducing this past 3 weeks Cici, a chocolate orpington, Maple and Finnigan, brown leghorns, and Toffee, an ISA brown, and this past week Pinecone & Cinnamon, blue-laced red wyandottes, and Sphen and Willow, sapphire gems. Coming up in two weeks I'll be starting my last 4 for outdoor chickens outside too. There is Little Bee & Ms Penny, Kiwi and Aria. I can't find the ID of breed they are, it's around here somewhere. They've changed a ton since born. I have Popcorn, or Poppi, a white cochin bantam rooster, Pixie and Dixie, bantam silkies, and Cowboy, a partridge cochin bantam rooster. These four will not be going out with the full-sized flock. I'm going to make them a decent sized moveable coop for during the day so they can get bugs and be outside. So how many is that. 17 outdoor in the big coop, 4 for now in their indoor coop.

Probably like most of you, I enjoy the peacefulness and cuteness of my chickens. Their little fluff-butts and pleasant personalities. I want to explore merging gardening with the coop, and see what I can get going. I've got rabbits (Tucker, Bourbon, Toby (Toblerone), a bonded pair of black & white spotted, then there's Oreo Cookie and Tic-Tac, and Tinkerbelle, two cats including my daughters, and a passle of dogs. I'm retired.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. This is a great place to explore and hang out.
Lot's of Old Folks here welcome. When I had banty they had their own coop. I had a tractor made my a electrician.
He bended conduit to form a rounded top. We have replaced the wood conduit has not caused any problems.

Pretty slick! If a person had any experience with a conduit bender really wouldn`t be to hard to make! I should build one! I bent a lot of it as my job as the head Maintenance man at our local school corp ! But we really don`t have room for one!. Cool idea though!
