He is gorgeous! Such a pretty color! Glad you have a friend who could take him so you'll be able to see him when he grows up!

That’s my favorite part (knowing where he is)! And he really is a gorgeous little fella! Also, he has already staked claims on a few pullets around his size at his new home and is living the high life, free ranging! Ps. We were calling “her” Pip for Pipsqueak and after my ‘awakening’, I switched it to Micro P. Hubby was not amused and refused to tell new owners

This is my [Nosey] Rosey girl, she’s a Sapphire gem and totally my bestie.. She runs to me when I come outside.. Jumps right up on me when I sit down.. Forever following me in circles if I run them, but trust me my nerd butt is NOT.. She got her name because curiosity will end up being her downfall; this girl has to be the first to check it out and last to stop pecking it;bugs.. grass.. dog noses… whatever lol
I thought it was extremely adorable that she instantly fell asleep on my hand while I was texting my mom I know we aren’t supposed to cuddle our birds, but how could you turn down that sweet snuggle bug?!

This is Ms Henny Penny, our Americana. She is my b!tcher! Like, she squawks if you even look at her big momma self.. I have to football tuck her under my arm any time I pick her up or the neighbors will swear I’m butchering her obnoxious self! (Thanks to this group for the holding method btw lol) If I could bring myself to create a channel for my girls, I would voiceover her character with a Madea style attitude She’s so full of sass! I gotta love her, she’s head boss lady!

Hi from south central MI - I didn't get the cuddly model chickens you did but still think they're great fun! Very addictive, those chickens. Who knew? BYC is a good place to enjoy everything chicken without the weird looks you might get from concerned friends and family who just won't get it
Glad you had such a smooth rehoming process for your rooster. Your husband possibly feared for his man card in repeating the name Pipsqueak?

Oh and I just realized I never introduced Chickira!! Husband brought her home 4 days after the first 3…. I believe his words were “but she’s cool AF because she has a Mohawk when she grows up!!”…
Yeah, you guessed it.. Appenzeller Spitzhauben.. Anyway, she’s spicy but a sweet girl … especially if you’re delivering ‘pincher bugs’! She’s hilarious to watch run back and forth between the other two, always thinking they’ve found better grass and bugs than what her toes scratch up! Silly chick!

My kids send pictures of me “with my homies” to my mom (she lives out of state) and I end up with “I’m not sure I’ve ever let my chickens ride on my shoulder” or “are you sure your chicks like when you pick them up and kiss their backs?” or whatever other hilarious thing she might think of to randomly say, knowing that I have no idea my kids have sent pictures to her But, I get my love for animals from her so at least she understands… Hubby won’t even touch them

Has anyone brought up the inadequacy of chicken wire with regards to protecting chickens from predators?
