I have not given up on sunscreen entirely, until, i made an amazon purchase for my usual neurtogena (sp. wrong whatever) and a few days later I get an email about a recall that was made on that exact product. Something about an ingredient inside it is known to cause cancer. I coulda assumed there are toxins in sunblock, but to get a recall notice reminded me maybe I should just continue to purchase my sunblock clothing instead, and avoid direct sun.I used to wear sunscreen. It turned the collar of my shirt orange. DH said that if it did that to my shirt, what was soaking into my skin?
My hands get brown in the summer. I wear gloves in the garden, but have to take them off a lot.
The first year I saw that PA, she said, "I'll see a lot of people half your age who don't have skin as nice as yours!" That was all the motivation and encouragement I needed to keep wearing long sleeves and long pants.
Right now it's HOT and HUMID. If sweating is good for you and cleans out your pores, then oh, baby! My pores are pristine!
