You and me both. I've got over 100 birds right now, 50+ eggs incubating and a broody on eggs... Just knowing their are chicks available makes me want more though.
Good grief don't let me see a bantam bin. Those are twice as easy to rationalize. 1 Marans is "worth" like 4-5 little ones.

Although, I used to drink a bunch. Like 1-1.5 gallons of beer daily. Now I drink 1/4 of whiskey a year. So I have made comments like "$60 is too much for eggs? I can blow that at a bar wetting my whistle." Then she remembers, chickens are cheaper than a bar trip too.
