We spent much of our life in our home splitting wood and heating our home with our wood stove. We just had a pellet stove installed.....Best purchase ever! I miss the smell of the burning firewood, but I DONT miss the black soot!!!!!!

I spread the wood ash in my coops great bug deterent The box on the rash burner is cement blocks and cast iron the ash box had to rebuilt so we bent the box ourselves of sheet metal attched the door when done
