Plumber pounding on my door woke me up. That's a sin after I stayed home all day yesterday waiting for him to show up.

I hate that waiting for someone…. The rude awakening is even worse! Hope they do the right thing and get you fixed up!

The verb "looking" refers back to the hen. Take out the adverbial phrase, "in my yard," you have "hen looking for advice." A period or semi colon after "yard" would have made it more clear that the poster is looking for advice.

or a comma after yard and then "I'm looking for advice".
I find things like this all the time, makes me laugh!
