I have sin.....
Late yesterday as I was getting my chickens to coop for the night, the rain started pouring down fast and thunders so loud. All my hens run into their coop except for 1, Apple ran around and refused to get in. I was all soak in the pouring down rain and the run got muddy, the chance of me having a fall and break my hips is imminent. I was very upset so I left her and I thought to myself so be it, the possum will come tonight like it does every night and it will eat her, so be it!!! I walked away.
I had this image of my Apple hen partially eaten by possum, I can not stomach it so I came back to catch her in the rain. I grabbed her firmly and and she was terrified. I felt terrible for almost leaving her to the possum. I love her dearly. Some days it just asking too much of me.
