😩ducklings won’t be quiet

How old are they? If they are younger than 4 weeks I would highly recommend continuing to provide heat at night even if your house is at 70. Though I do agree that a natural daylight schedule is optimal.

What kind of waterer do you have? A lot of us have success with putting rocks in a water container so it can't be tipped. I used a gallon juice jug and cut duckling sized head holes in it. This way they could get their entire heads submerged but not climb in their water container to swim. My duckings never spilled it.
They are 4 weeks and 5 weeks I believe. I think they were too hot and trying to cool off in their waterer. Ever since I turned off the heat lamp they haven’t been trying to splash in the waterer. They aren’t huddled together to sleep either they have been spread out.

Sounds like you have it figured out. They sound like they were too hot. My 4wk old ducklings are in their outdoor coop now and sleep away from their heat lamp. I just keep it on at night because we still drop down to low 40’s high 30F’s.

Loud babies almost always mean too hot or too cold.
