🥰CUTEST PICS HERE! Help, button quail expert needed. 🥰

Thanks so much. Sorry but one more question, at what age could I take the baby coturnix outside in run to experience the world for a bit away from their brood plate. I expect not yet but I was wondering when and how long for etc. Thank you for all your advice guys. Daytime temps here are currently 13 degrees c. Thanks again.

You want to start raising the brooder plate within a few days. By the time they're 3 weeks old, they should be completely comfortable at room temps, and by 6 weeks old, ready to go outside.

If daytime temps are 13, I'm going to assume that it's colder at night. I wouldn't kick them out until they're around 5-6 weeks old. They can go out earlier if the temperatures are warmer.

Thank you, this is basically exactly what I read, with maybe an added week here or there. I will, of course wait, I just can't wait for them to get a quick trip out, just on the lawn to see the world. However, not at risk of their health! Thank you for all your help. I hope you don't mind but at wknd on their anniversary, I will post pics and see what you think of their colours, they have changed quite a bit! Thanks again.

I read that buttons need heat for 5 weeks, is that not true?

I raise both :) The colors on these birds as well as the size in the person's hand compared to the feathering growth is coturnix, though you're right-some of them are pretty small! I'd double check that the the three Falb Fees are getting enough food and heat.

I would not free range quail they are fast at flying away.

You are meaning to put them in a cage on the ground, yes?

Hi, I don't suppose anyone can help with some updated pics of some of my buttons. Am I right that the two red and blue are male? Also, is anyone able to confirm what the colours are called. I have researched and narrowed it down, however, I'm not experienced and could use the help! Many Thanks guys! Xx I appreciate I'm not a good photographer either. Xx
