So I had 26 eggs in my bator. At 25 days I had a hatch of 0%. My bator came with 2 thermometers. I had one of them outside in the brooder and one in the bator. When I put the second one in the bator I realized there was a 7degree difference between the two. Which was right? Were either right? 90% of the eggs were "quitters." So heads up if you buy a Little Giant Incubator do not use the thermometers that come with it.

Next time?

Put the thermometor in crushed ice and water. Should read 32. If not move the thermometer on the card so it lines up with 32 and tape it. Now it will be accurite. Did you use a hygrometor for Hum ?

It's not related Mahonri, but they have basically the same thermometer. Go to walmart and get a couple $6 springfield thermo/hygrometers to put in there. The 1588 is supposed to be preset, but you still need to double check it.

ETA: A good rule of thumb is to ALWAYS toss the thermo that comes with the bator!! Better luck next time

Throw those spirit carded thermometers away right out of the box and go buy you a good quality therometer/hygrometer. It will save you a ton of heartache!

Hope this next hatch goes well for you.

Man, that REALLY sucks. The only thing worse would be having to listen to your new Hova-Bator 1588 (which sound like a dental drill!) for 25 days and then having no chicks!
