1 1/2 yr old broiler pic

just for fun thought I would post a pic of one of our 1 1/2 year old McMurray Jumbo X Cornish. Big Moe tops out at least 20 pounds probably. We kept him and a hen as lawn ornaments. Many people think he is a turkey at first.

Hello from South Arkansas...I don't think they have a long life span(even pardoned from the freezer). Wonder how long they'll make it.

Has he been having any leg problems? I'm getting some meat birds next year but i can't bond with them at all since were gonna butcher them:/

Wow! That is pretty unusual. I'd love to see pics of the hen as well. How is her egg laying going?

WOW...he looks like my 10 pound cornish Sire cockerel. mine is 7 month old but I keep him feed restricted as he will be my SIRE broiler for my home grown broiler breeding program and I don´t think the hens will like a 20 pound rooster mounting them...

All I can say is WOW!

I have Cornish X's that are 8 weeks old, and some are already heading to the freezer because of leg problems!

No leg problems with either him or the hen. His legs are huge! The longest I have kept a broiler was a hen and she lived 3 years.
