I was just reading a post about "duck happiness and they said the one duck is not a good idea, 2 is okay if they are both hens and 3 is great, especially 2 hens and a drake.

Well, I suspect I have a boy and a girl. Uh oh? Why is this a problem? Do I need to go get another hen?

Its better to have 1 drake, and 2 hens because people are afraid that the drake will over breed just 1 hen. You can try it out, see how it goes. Some drake, if raised with the hen, will be nice, and not over breed the hen just because. Some drakes are different.

While it is best to have 2 hens, I don't feel that this should be a major problem. If you have a boy and a girl they will be mating partners for life and should be content with eachother. However, if you feel your male duck is in anyway hurting your female by repeatedly mating with her, its time for another girl to be introduced!
I think you'll be fine though that's my honest opinion
